The People's Republic of Improv
PRI is Ghost Light Theatre's resident improvised theatre company. The troupe performs the 2nd and 4th Friday of every month at 8 pm and are determined to bring Nelson brave new improvised theatre formats, the likes that have never been seen in the region before!
The company is a cooperative of trained actors and improvisers. This quirky team has a penchant for stepping into the territory of the unscripted and the unknown. Join the revolution and see them in action twice a month at Ghost Light.
ON NOW: Nelsablanca
February 1, 8, 15 and 22 at 8pm
"We'll always have Nelson..."
Round up the usual suspects and get down to Ghost Light Theatre in February! Inspired by the Academy Award-Winning Film, Casablanca, and the glamour of old Hollywood, Nelson's favourite improv troupe is back to kick off 2019 with "NELSABLANCA".
Did you know Nelson was as classy back in the 1940s as Casablanca? Ladies in fur, lounge singers, drama, mad scientists, guys in fedoras and trench coats obviously with guns but trying not to look suspicious, international intrigue and classic Hollywood kissing that just involved people rubbing their faces on each other.
"Kiss me! Kiss me as if it were the last time..."
The story continues each Friday in February at 8 pm! (But don't worry if you miss one, a recap will happen at the start of every show!)
Hot off the heels of their successful improvised soap, WYNASTY, The People's Republic of Improv is back to bring their hilarious take of old classic Hollywood and mash it with... Nelson. Did I mention they're going to make the whole thing up?
I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship... If you book a ticket. Or a season pass!
